As part of preparations towards his coronation, newly-chosen
Ooni of Ife, Prince Adeyeye Ogunwusi has been moved into seclusion at a
shrine known as Ilofi in Ile-Ife, Osun State where he will stay for the
next 21 days.
According to Daily Trust, the Ooni-deisgnate, during his stay in
seclusion, will go through initiation processes into different cults,
and taken through the rudiments of his duties as the Ooni of Ife after
performing series of traditional rites at the shrine.

During the said 21 days in seclusion at the shrine which is just
about seven minutes away from the palace, Ogunwusi will be disallowed
from seeing his.
The new monarch, who will become one of the most powerful traditional
rulers in yorubaland, will assume the the title of Ojaja II after
completing all traditional rites at the Ilofi.
Isoro priests, kingmakers and traditional chiefs all led Prince
Ogunwusi to the shrine at about 4:35 pm today, Thursday, October 29.
Reactions have continued to trail the new Ooni as many notable Nigerians have paid tribute to the 40-year-old accountant, including former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
