FCT COMMAND GETS A NEW SHERRIFF
The Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche Mni, has appointed Christopher Peter Jen as the substantive Controller of Corrections for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command. This appointment is part of recent postings of senior officers in the service.
Christopher Peter Jen will succeed Ajibogun Olatubosun fsi, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Controller General of Corrections. Ajibogun has been redeployed to the Planning, Research, and Statistics unit at the service headquarters in Abuja.
In his farewell speech, Assistant Controller General Ajibogun expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the FCT Command, non-governmental organizations, and critical stakeholders for their cooperation during his tenure. He requested that they extend the same level of cooperation to the incoming Controller.
In his maiden speech, Controller Christopher Peter Jen called on staff and partners of the correctional service to work diligently towards the corporate good of the service. He expressed confidence in establishing a good working relationship in the FCT.
Prior to his appointment, Controller Jen served as a directing staff at the Correctional Staff College in Barnawa, Kaduna, and previously as the officer in charge of the Kuje Custodial Centre in Abuja.
