ERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE FCT COMMAND DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, decorated newly promoted officers in a formal ceremony marking a significant milestone in their professional careers. The event recognised the officers’ dedication, discipline, and commitment to the core mandate of the Service, particularly in the areas of custody, rehabilitation, and reintegration. Speaking at the ceremony, the Controller of Corrections, FCT Command, Christopher Peter Jen, congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions and urged them to regard the elevation as a call to higher responsibility and selfless service. He emphasised the need to uphold the values, ethics, and professional standards of the Nigerian Correctional Service at all times. Also speaking at the event, the Comptroller of Immigration, FCT Command, Mrs. Sherifat Ronke Ibrahim, commended the Nigerian Correctional Service for its sustained efforts in maintaining security and public safety within the FCT. She encouraged the newly promoted officers to demonstrate renewed commitment in the discharge of their duties and reaffirmed the Nigeria Immigration Service’s readiness to continue inter-agency collaboration. In his remarks, Hon. Samuel Shekwolo Danjuma, APC Chairmanship Candidate for Kuje Area Council, congratulated the officers and charged them to remain steadfast, disciplined, and guided by the ethics of their profession. He highlighted the critical role of correctional officers in maintaining law and order and pledged his support toward strengthening security at the grassroots level. Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Deputy Controller of Corrections, Oluwole Michael, expressed gratitude to the Controller General of Corrections, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche MFR, for putting smiles on their faces in the historic elevation. He also pledged their unwavering commitment and dedication to the service.
